There's so many muscle building supplements on the market; so many that it can be downright overwhelming trying to choose a supplement that works. There's also the fact that today's supplements can be expensive. Let's be honest, most of us can't afford to blow half our paycheck of bodybuilding supplements. Let's see, pay the electric bill or buy this latest muscle building supplement stack that you have no idea what it does? And these companies don't want you to buy just one product; they want you to stack with three or four other products. Before you know it you've run up a bill over 0 in muscle building products which in most cases won't even last a while month, and you haven't even bought protein powder yet.
Let's clear some of the confusion. There are indeed some great products out there that will help you put on muscle mass. But there are also a lot of worthless supplements out there as well that will only leave you with less money in your pocket. And if you're on a tight budget you can't afford to take the chance on trying supplement's that don't work. Below is a list of products that have been proven to work.
Whey Protein With Creatine
Creatine monohydrate - This was the biggest breakthrough in the muscle building industry when it was first introduced. Why? Because it works. I still take creatine monohydrate and mix it with grape juice. Sure, this is old school but again, it works. I take 10 grams with about 6 ounces of grape juice after my workout. Be sure you drink a lot of water throughout the day if you're taking creatine monohydrate.
Glutamine - Glutamine is the most abundant amino acid and is said to help your muscles recover from intense workouts which leads to rebuilding the muscle. Glutamine has also been said to raise natural growth hormone levels.
Whey Protein - Though you should try to get most of your daily protein from food sources it's good to have some whey protein powder on hand. Ideally you want to have a whey protein shake after your workout (mixed with some carbs). But whey protein powder is also convenient for extra meals if you can't get a full meal in at that time.
Flax Oil - Flax oil consists of healthy fats which have a long list of health benefits. Flax oil can also help raise natural testosterone levels.
Multi-vitamins - When you're training intense your body needs extra nutrients.
Again, this is a basic supplement plan; nothing fancy. But the plan should give you some solid results if you're training and nutrition are on target.
